Ever thought there could be a secure way to enjoy being online — where adverts were both income stream and the entertainment? That’s what SSA is built for. It’s a sealed, reader-first platform inside ebooks that transforms side stories and ad moments into a living narrative arcade: puzzles, chats, emoji reactions, and bots that all resolve in a natural call-to-action. No interruptions. No data mining. Regeneration is seamless, and the reader’s agency is absolute.
I wrote a trilogy to test my theory of Eastern archetypal narrative architecture (Celestial Love, Flames of Fury, Jaded Requiem). They’re still evolving, all works in progress — but that’s the point. They’re my test-bed for Side Story Advertising (AdScenes). I’m still learning, still refining, and using these stories to prove the model. Writing was just the first half of the work. To be great, it needs the right experts to refine.
At 55 I graduated with 1.5 NZ degrees, figured out WordPress, built my own site, and with AI wrote the plugins that power GenFu SSA — Generative Future: Side Story AdScenes. It’s the only patented, non-intrusive advertising model for eBooks, later extended to Living Websites and debate snippets. Filed with IPONZ, NZ-owned forever.
I’m 61 now, and my life’s dream has come true — I’m a dad of two, aged 5 and 3. And for decades my day job wasn’t the norm. I recall standing in a village full of mums, kids, and old folk like me, then wondering why all the project managers had suddenly gone on holiday. The fear on every face told me why. Mine too, as thunder broke a cloudless day — a B-52 in the sky.
We were in an active war zone, and right in its flight path sat a project — 360 square kilometres, a team of 6,000, and two weeks to rebuild an aqua system. If it didn’t get done, those mums, kids, and everyone like them would have gone without water. Families would have starved.
We made the deadline and budget, because among those 6,000 were the experts. That success led to me being selected to help secure the area as part of a \$400 million dam rehabilitation project. It was proof that the outcome wasn’t about any one person — it was truly the sum of the whole.
I also figured out: if you hear a B-52 first — and live to see it pass — maybe you get to write another trilogy, or build a secure online entertainment platform by 2026 — one that’s for readers, a canvas for creators, and a stage that makes SMEs pop.
And I figured out a long time ago: to scale something new can take ten years — or ten months — depending on whether you have the right experts leading the build.
MVP1 is live here: novels, SSA slots, registry, plugins. It proves SSA works — ad scenes that sit inside a book, never breaking story, with resolution = call to action. Now I’m building MVP2: a stronger backbone — API, live registry, royalty ledgers, one-click agreements. A Datacom-standard build. But to scale, polish, and deploy it properly, I need the right experts alongside me.
So here’s the check I ask anyone looking at MVP2 to run:
Did you run the ROI numbers for Google AdSense?
Did you run the ROI numbers for eBooks?
They both perform well. Don’t they?
But here’s the gap: there is no AdSense ROI for eBooks.
That’s what SSA changes — a sealed, story-native model that makes eBooks earn while keeping readers first. The framework is proven in MVP1. The path to MVP2 is mapped.
And here’s my offer: share in the IP and in the rewards it brings once operational.
